NY-19–Sept. 16...Radical college professor Zephyr Rain Teachout, who moved to New York’s 19th Congressional District in January from New York City in order to run for Congress, has raised more money out of the state of California than she has from all New Yorkers combined, the campaign of former state Assembly Minority Leader and 33-year Kinderhook, NY resident John Faso today noted.

Prof. Teachout, a Vermont native who in 2014 sued in New York State Supreme Court to establish her residency in New York City so that she could run for governor of New York, is campaigning with fellow left-wing Vermonter Bernie Sanders today.

The Professor’s out-of-state — much less out-of-district — fundraising doesn’t begin or end with California: the ardent Iranian Nuclear Deal and taxpayer-paid campaign proponent has also raised more money out of New England than out of New York. She has more donors from Los Angeles and Houston than even from New York City which comprises her small political base in New York.

“These fundraising statistics make it plain: Prof. Zephyr Teachout simply doesn’t know that many people in New York, much less in the 19th Congressional district, because she’s not from here. When more Californians are backing her candidacy than New Yorkers, one has to wonder what her candidacy is really all about. The answer is on full display today as the carpetbagging professor campaigns with socialist Bernie Sanders. Her candidacy has nothing to do with the families of the 19th congressional district and everything to do with advancing a left-wing national agenda that has taxed and spent communities like ours into the ground,” said Faso Campaign Manager Dain Pascocello.

“John Faso is a trusted and longtime community servant whose only agenda is to help kick-start New York’s economy, create good-paying jobs here, and keep New York families safe.”
