Fmr. Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY) Previously Disavowed Group in 2011 for Anti-Israel Advocacy Efforts
Valatie, NY – Antonio Delgado, who earned condemnation last week for saying “Israel is not a Jewish democracy,” hauled in nearly $50,000 through J Street PAC bundling. J Street was paid over $500,000 to lobby on behalf of the dangerous Iran Deal.

Previously, Antonio Delgado called the Iran Deal “one of the most important diplomatic achievements that we’ve seen in some time,” despite the fact that it allowed Iran to continue uranium enrichment, lifted economic sanctions, and provided Iran access to more than $100 billion in previously frozen assets, some of which like made its way to terrorist groups, per John Kerry.

- “J Street’s efforts to rollback sanctions on Iran and advocate for legislation backed by the Palestinian Authority has pro-Israel insiders warning that the group’s actions run counter to its claims of being pro-Israel.” (Washington Free Beacon, 9/28/13)
Earlier this year, Congress passed the bipartisan Taylor Force Act. The bill restricted certain aid to the Palestinian Authority until they stop payments to the families of terrorists who carry out attacks. J Street has a history of opposing the Taylor Force legislation as it went through the legislative process.
- “J Street has been on record opposing the bill and lobbied against its passage. Last year in an interview with The Forward, J Street spokeswoman Jessica Rosenblum justified their lobbying efforts by claiming that the bill “would, in effect, zero out aid to the Palestinian Authority.” (The Federalist, 8/7/17)
- In September 2015, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he welcomed “every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem.” (Washington Free Beacon, 7/7/16)
In 2013, it was reported that “J Street’s efforts to rollback sanctions on Iran and advocate for legislation backed by the Palestinian Authority has pro-Israel insiders warning that the group’s actions run counter to its claims of being pro-Israel.” (Washington Free Beacon, 9/28/13)
Former New York Congressman Gary Ackerman (D-NY) panned J Street in 2011 for the organization’s recommendation to the Obama Administration that it not veto an anti-Israel UN resolution.
- “I’ve come to the conclusion that J-Street is not an organization with which I wish to be associated,” Ackerman said. (FoxNews.com, 01/26/11)
Since 2008, roughly 99% of J Street’s political contributions have gone to Democrats. (OpenSecrets.org, Accessed 8/10/18)
Background
Last week, Faso for Congress released a new television ad titled ‘Dangerous’ and is now running in the Albany market. The ad comes on the heels of Antonio Delgado proclaimingin a recent debate that Israel is not a real Jewish Democracy.

In a debate hosted by WAMC and WNYT, Antonio Delgado proclaimed that Israel is not a Jewish Democracy. The stunning statement raises a red flag about Delgado’s position regarding our closest ally in the Middle East, especially due to his enthusiastic support of the dangerous Iran Deal, and his opposition to the recent decision to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem.
Following the revelation that Delgado was espousing these views as far back as February, numerous influential public officials rebuked the comments: https://johnfaso.com/what-
