Congressional Candidate Earns Labor Backing

Kinderhook, NY … October 31, 2016 – John Faso, the Republican, Conservative, Independent and Reform candidate running in the 19th Congressional District, has earned the endorsement of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 825, his campaign announced today.

With its 6,900 members, IUOE Local 825 represents crane, forklift and other heavy equipment operators, mechanics and surveyors who work on construction sites. Local 825 has worked on major regional construction projects such as the Tappan Zee Bridge and portions of the New York State Thruway.

“John Faso has worked in both public service and private industry advocating for policies and projects that would employ hundreds of Operating Engineers. We are happy to support John Faso for Congress,” said Greg Lalevee, Local 825 Business Manager.

“I am grateful for the endorsement of the men and women of Local 825. Their work helps to create the infrastructure that moves our economy, from bridges to highways and more. As a member of Congress, I will fight for policies that lead to a stronger economy and the jobs and opportunities it supports,” said Faso.

Faso is running on the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform lines in November’s general election.

Mr. Faso and his wife, Mary Frances, a registered nurse, are the proud parents of two children. They have lived in Kinderhook, New York, for more than three decades.

John Faso (R-Kinderhook) is former Republican leader of the state Assembly and candidate for Congress in the 19th Congressional district. To learn more about Faso, visit johnfaso.com.
