“Rapp Rappleyea was a truly dedicated public servant and an inspirational leader in the state Assembly. With his homespun style of speaking, he could connect with any audience. He led the Assembly GOP with conviction and principle and came to see many of the policies he advocated as Minority Leader later enacted into law during Governor George Pataki’s first term. Rapp was a close friend of mine for 30 years and he will be missed. My condolences to his wife Nancy and his family.”
